I'm a nerd. As a nerd, I have a lot of interests and I like to share. I already have several sites where I contribute and share about specific topics, but there is so much more that I want to share. I needed a place to post the miscellany that I was collecting, and yet another blog seemed like a simple place to start.
The content on this blog will be a little bit of everything.
The hardest part of creating this blog was coming up with a title. I used a few random word generators to get to the blog name. The short url was a little bit of an accident. My first choice was already taken, so I tried a portmanteau of the first two words and created abendmind.blogspot.com, only realizing after typing it that it should have been abentmind instead. But, in computer science "abend" is an abbreviation for "abnormal end" (in other words, a program crash) and as I thought about it, this name fit.
